Handmade hobbyhorses from Finland
Raveniahorses is a small business from Jyväskylä, Finland, that makes unique handmade hobbyhorses for sports and decoration. The most common material is velboa-fabric, which is 100% polyester. The mane of the horses are made from wool yarn or mohair, eyes and nostrils are painted by hand. Shadings are done with paint, or with marker pens.

Who is behind Raveniahorses?
Hello! I'm Julia, a High-School student from Jyväskylä, Finland. My other hobbies beside hobbyhorses are for example riding. I have been making hobbyhorses since 2015, and have been a hobbyist much longer. Hobbyhorses are an important sports for me, and i have competed with hobbyhorses in Dressage.
I'm social, positive, and emotional. I love to be around people, and i'm really easy to talk to. |
Nowdays i'm an active coach, and i run a small hobbyhorse club for kids here at Jyväskylä. I'm also in the board of Finnish Hobbyhorse association, and part of the Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships producing team. Photo: Vilma Virtanen
